Denver to Hawaii Travel Tips

 https://denverairporttransportation.blogspot.com/2012/11/denver-to-hawaii-travel-tips.html
Denver International Airport to Honolulu International Airport

I am flying out of Denver to Hawaii what are some travel tips I should know?
Your flight time usually takes between 7 and 8 hours if you’re departing from the Denver International Airport. You can bring Fruits and Vegetables as a snack on the plane, but you can not take them off the plane once you have landed in Honolulu, Every passenger will need to complete and turn in an Agricultural form on the flight. Make sure you have a pen handy, If you’re bringing home food type souvenirs like pineapples, allow extra time at the Honolulu International Airport to get them inspected. Only buy boxed pineapples that are allowed on the plane back to Denver. However, any fruits or flowers that are hand-picked will not be allowed.

Paul John Tip: When departing from Hawaii alot of the direct flights back to Denver depart at 10:00 PM Hawaii time the plane usually gets cold and since the planes have a central air conditioning system, it’s a good idea to bring a jacket or a fleece blanket (the airlines only carry a limited amount). A lot of Denver travelers don’t bring one because they feel it’s not needed in Hawaii.

I rented a Condo in Hawaii, check out time is 11:00 AM,  My plane does not depart until 10:00 PM What do i do with my luggage for the day?
Do not leave your luggage in your rented vehicle and go to the beach alot of travelers get their rental cars broken into. It is easy to recognize a rental car the "NO SMOKING" decal, make and models of the vehicle, and new with no rust. Go to http://www.alohaairportdeliveryandstorage.com they will watch and deliver your luggage to the Honolulu International Airport for you.

What is the best way to get to the Denver International Airport with the construction delays?
Colorado Airport Transportation Company at 720-535-6030 or http://ColoradoAirportTransportation.com We have Limo's and Shuttle vans available 24 hours a day 7 days a week for all your travel needs. ARFF Academy Airport Shuttle

ARFF certification Fire fighting Training by Paul John
First Responders Firefighters Airplane Rescue 12 Month Certification Training

The Denver Fire Department Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) Training Academy for Live-First Responders Drills.  All first responder firefighting personnel must participate in at least one live-fire drill every 12 months for certification.  This drill must include a pit fire with an aircraft mock-up or similar device, using enough fuel to provide a fire intensity that simulates realistic firefighting conditions.  The conditions would simulate the type of fire that could be encountered on an air carrier aircraft at the airport.  It is intended that the drill provide an opportunity for the firefighting team to become familiar with the use of all fire extinguish equipment they will use in the event of an accident.  If possible, a simulated rescue of aircraft occupants will help in creating a realistic simulation.

Denver International Airport Transportation Service for the ARFF Training Academy

Denver airport transportation: How do you know you are in the Colorado!

How do you know when you are in Colorado's Rocky Mountains

If the local Dairy Queen is closed during November through February, you are in Colorado.

If someone in a Home Depot store offers you assistance and they don't work there, you are in Colorado.

If people are wearing shorts and a parka at the same time in the winter, you are in Colorado.

If you've had a lengthy telephone conversation with someone when you dialed the wrong number, you are in Colorado.

If "Vacation" means going anywhere WEST for the weekend, you are in Colorado.

If you have had a conversation with a person who has hit a deer more than once, you are in Colorado.

If you have gone from "heat" to "A/C" in the same day and back again, you are in Colorado.

If you find yourself driving 55 mph through 2 feet of snow during a raging blizzard while being passed, you are in Colorado.

If everyone is carrying jumper cables in their car and their wife knows how to use them, you are in Colorado.

If I-70 speed limit is 65 mph up the winding mountain roads and everybody is passing you, you are in Colorado.

If driving is better in the winter because the potholes are filled with ice and snow, you are in Colorado.

Learn Colorado’s 4 seasons: almost winter, winter, still winter and road construction.

If you find 10 degrees "a little chilly", Welcome to Colorado.

DENVER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT — Colorado winter storm on Thursday, covering areas already buried with as much as 3 to 4 feet, closing schools and businesses and delaying DIA flights. Airlines canceled hundreds of flights because of drifting snow and high winds. Up to 12" to 14" of snow was expected at Denver International Airport by Thursday afternoon. Frontier Airlines at DIA said it canceled 19 flights in and out of Denver because the airport had been unable to keep enough runways and taxiways open. The airline also said some flights were delayed by up to four hours."We're at the mercy of airport conditions at DIA this today and hope they can recover to help us avoid further flight cancellations today. United Airlines, the dominant carrier at the Denver airport with about 400 flights per day, canceled about half its flights, United Airline said "We're doing everything we can to accommodate the travelers and we're also asking them to check online for their flights," for cancelations.

DENVER D.O.T. -Roads across Colorado Are snow packed and icy, with the snow not likely to stop anytime soon. "There is definitely some adverse driving conditions right now, and it's expected to continue throughout a good portion of Thursday," said Bob Wilson, a Colorado Department of Transportation spokesman. Wilson said although some cars are sliding off roads, not many accidents had been reported.
Colorado U.S. Highway 6 is closed to Loveland Pass, while a 35-mile span of Interstate I-25 is closed from Wellington to Cheyenne. Wilson said the closure is to prevent traffic congestion going into Wyoming, where driving conditions are worse than in northern Colorado. Blowing snow and poor visibility also prompted the closure of I-70 between the eastern edge of Denver to Limon.
A 40-mile stretch of Interstate 80 is closed from Cheyenne to Laramie.
DENVER AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION - is slow and on stand by notice, only pre reservation are continuing at this time. New reservation for Friday and Saturday for cancelled flights out of DIA are being excepted on a first come first served basis Thank You Colorado Airport Transportation.

UFO near Denver International Airport ?

Published: 6:25 AM 8/24/2009
Colorado - 08-22-09

I fly as a professional commercial airline pilot for a regional airline. While flying a Salt Lake to Denver leg in an empty Canadair CRJ-200 Regional Jet on 22 August, the Captain and I witnessed a brilliant, bluish-white object as we descended through 19000 feet AMSL and crossed the "TOMSN" intersection in the area of Estes Park Colorado, some 60 miles Northwest of the Denver International Airport.
As we leveled off at 19000 feet, we began slowing from 310 knots indicated to 250 knots indicated airspeed, as instructed by ATC. At this time, we noticed a bright, white light off to our right (south of us) at about the 3:30 position and apparently the same altitude as us.
It appeared to be another aircraft descending parallel to us into the Denver Area, but it was extremely bright, appearing as though we were looking directly into its landing lights. We asked the Denver Approach controller on 119.30 Mhz if he could see any other aircraft off to our right, and he said there were none.
We also had no indication of any aircraft off to our right on our onboard TCAS (collision avoidance) system display. We observed this aircraft (?) from approx 8:07 to 8:09 PM (less than 3 minutes) and it appeared to move eastbound parallel to our course, less than 10 miles off to the right (south) of our position, in the area of Longs Peak and Rocky Mountain Nat'l. Park.
We know it was not a great distance away, since we saw it pass between us and a rain/virga shower in the vicinity of Long's Peak, off to the right (south) of our track. It appeared to have at least similar speed to ours (250 to 300 knots), although this is difficult to judge--it seemed to be a bit faster than we were, going eastbound.
As we both began to observe it closely, it literally faded from bright and sharply visible to completely gone in less than three seconds. It did not appear to accelerate or change course--it just faded rapidly from view and was gone. Another two quick inquiries to the Denver Approach controller yielded the same answer--he saw neither an aircraft transponder return in that area nor any "primary" return (an aircraft or object simply reflecting radar waves off of its skin).
This was most puzzling to us as we both clearly saw this bright, large object and observed it for over two minutes. It appeared roughly elongate rectangular and very large--perhaps the size of a large jumbo jet (at least 200-300 feet long)... but this is difficult to judge without distance information.
I believe it was at least 5 to 8 miles off to our right. Hard to discern surface detail--it simply looked roughly rectangular and extremely bright, bluish white light in color (emitting light).
I did not have binoculars or a camera with me on this particular flight, so I cannot give much more close detail than this. Please feel free to call me with any questions you may have. I am thinking of requesting the radar tapes from ATC.
Our flight number was SkyWest 1008, and we were communicating with Denver Center on 126.50Mhz and then Denver Approach Control on 119.30Mhz when the event occurred.

Colorado Travelers still making vacation plans

Air Travel Heats Up, Travelers still making vacation plans.
Budgets may be tighter this year, but all signs point to Colorado travelers still making vacation plans for the summer.

Visitor traffic increased to the National Parks and Services, nps.gov (up 14%), and local theme park, http://www.elitchgardens.com/ (up 47%). As a result, major hotels like holidayinn.com (up 18% ), bestwestern.com (up 11%), and daysinn.com (up 14%) all saw a lift alongside Denver airport transportation, which were also positively impacted – coloradoairporttransportation.com (up 15% ).

Tip #1 Book reservations early. During the summer, popular destinations sell out early. In order to make the most of a vacation in both value and accommodations, make all reservations as soon as possible or risk having to compromise on final plans. •

Tip #2 Pack with security in mind. Place your ID tags on the inside of your bag and do not lock it. That will allow Denver airline security to search it if necessary, but it will not advertise the location of your empty home to an unsuspecting perpetrator. Consider labeling a laptop computer as well, as they are the number one forgotten item at Denver airport security screening checkpoints.

Tip #3 Dress for function, not flash. Avoid wearing a lot of jewelry or high-priced clothing that marks you as a wealthy target when traveling. Maintain a low profile while in a public airport and try to blend into your surroundings.

Tip #4 Make photocopies of all travel documents. Whether your travel destination is considered unpredictable or you are prone to losing things, it’s always a good idea to make photocopies of travel documents such as tickets, passports, itineraries, reservations and credit cards. Carry them separately from the originals in case you have to notify authorities of theft or loss. •

Tip#5 Get street smart. When leaving a hotel for sightseeing, shopping or dining, ask the hotel staff. Safety should always come first. For example, a knowledgeable concierge may advise taking a pre arranged Chauffeured service around the City of Denver and to the Denver International Airport located 23 miles from Downtown Denver.

Top Chauffeur Tip# 6 When flying, just to be on the safe side, remember to schedule your Denver airport transportation 2 hours prior to take off. Arrive at the Denver International Airport one hour prior to departure. It helps avoid long lines and missing a flight as well as keeps boarding and departures on schedule.
