UPDATE: Holiday Travelers Security Guidelines for the Denver International Airport
Security at Denver International Airport for all Holiday travelers. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) duties at the Denver International Airport is to provide the best and fastest air travel security possible.
The TSA is responsible for screening every Holiday Travelers who flies and every bag that is loaded onto an Airlines airplane. Denver International Airport has three passenger screening checkpoints to speed up Holiday travelers – two in the Main Terminal (one at the north end of the building and one on the south side of the building. Both on Level 5 of the Denver International Airport) and one at the entrance to the pedestrian bridge to A Gates. Hours of operation listed below.
North Security (Colorado Flag) is in operation from 4:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
South Security (USA Flag) is in operation 24 hours a day
A Gates Security is in operation from 4:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
All Holiday Travelers at the Denver International Airport must pass through one of these screening checkpoints before they can proceed to their perferred airline departure gates. TSA security officers will process your carry-on bag. To proceed through screening, you will need a valid ID and your airline boarding pass.
Know Before You Go
The TSA encourages Denver International Airport Holiday travelers to “know before you go.”:
Liquids and gels must be in containers of three ounces or less
Put the containers in one zip-top plastic bag that is one-quart in size
Remove the plastic bag from your carry-on bag and put it in a screening bin
Place metal objects, such as coins and keys, in your carry-on bag
Put laptop computers and other electronic devices in a screening bin
Remove shoes, jackets and belts and put them in screening bins
Do Not wrap your Holiday Christmas gifts if you plan on carrying them thru to a security check point
